ABOUT GRANDMASTER PAUL MORMANDO

Grand Master Paul Mormando started training in martial arts in 1983.

 

By 1987 GM Paul had won more than 10 1st place trophy's in Kata, Weaponry and Sparring in Martial Arts Tournaments on the East Coast.

 

GM Paul received his first Black Belt in 1987 in Tae Kwon Do, he then proceeded on to train and received Black Belts in Moo Duk Kwan, Gi Do Kwan, and

Shotokan all by 1989.

 

In 1989 GM Paul realized traditional martial arts did not work in the real world and created his own system called Cha Ki Do. He was awarded the rank of

GRANDMASTER in 1990.

 

In 1993 and 1996, GM Paul broke the world record for Board Breaking at Shea Stadium in NY in front of

millions of viewers.

 

GM Paul was inducted into the Madison Square Garden Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003.

 

GM Paul was the ONLY martial artist featured in the Broadway play Tony & Tina's Wedding.

 

GM Paul has been featured in hundreds of Magazines and Newspapers including but not limited to The NY Times, NY Post, Daily News, People Magazine, Variety and Deadline.

 

GM Paul has been featured on more than 50 television shows and news stations including but not limited to ABC, NBC, and CNN.

 

GM Paul has performed in the most Oriental World of Self Defense Shows at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum, Hard Rock Cafe, Studio 54 and many more.

 

GM Paul has also overcome an accident that he was in that almost took his legs forever. He was hit by a drunk driver one rainy night and was told by doctors he would never walk again. He lost everything. He spent years trying to learn how to walk again and is an inspiration to all.

 

GM Paul has dedicated his life to helping all his students overcome their hardest obstacles.
